REBECCA COCCO

REBECCA COCCO was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon graduating from Boston College, she left her close-knit friends and large Italian family behind to migrate to the West Coast in pursuit of sunshine and the good life. She will always be grateful to her East Coast roots for instilling in her a sense of hard work, moral ethics, and the importance of family.

Rebecca’s passion has always been in fashion, and after several jobs in adjacent industries, she finally found where she belonged in her current company, Labeltex Mills, where she has worked for 25 years. Labeltex Mills is a leading global manufacturer of trims and packaging for some of the world's leading fashion brands. It was at Labeltex that Rebecca had the pleasure of meeting PHASE ONE’s co-founder Stacy Valner. After a few minutes, it was clear that they had a distinct bond... And that bond was cancer. Cancer has had a dramatic effect on Rebecca’s life - her father died of cancer when he was 45, and she was only 8 years old. And currently, Rebecca’s husband is battling stage 4 sarcoma. Stacy and Rebecca further connected because not only was Alberto a stage 4 cancer survivor, but both Alberto and Rebecca’s husband received treatment at UCLA, and two of his oncologists are PHASE ONE grant recipients.

Clearly, with cancer being so personal to Rebecca, she could only assume that her involvement with PHASE ONE was divine intervention and simply meant to be.
