PHASE ONE’s 25th Anniversary Gala Breaks Records– Raising Over $1.2M for Clinical Cancer Research

PHASE ONE extends its deepest gratitude to all who contributed to the remarkable success of its 25th Anniversary Gala. Through the collective effort and generosity of attendees, donors, volunteers, and sponsors, the event raised over $1.2 million, marking a significant milestone in the organization's ongoing mission to combat cancer.
The Gala, held on May 10th at Sony Pictures Studios, served as a poignant reminder of cancer's impact on individuals and families and highlighted the urgent need for continued research and innovation in treatment methods.
Upon arrival, guests enjoyed caviar and smoked fish by Wexler's Deli and a beautiful array of cheeses and sandwiches by The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills.
During the program, Gala Co-Chairs Brooke and Ken Lande shared their journey with cancer– having fought alongside their mother, Beverly Lande, who was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020:
"This wasn’t a 'we’re gonna beat this' sort of diagnosis. There was one very consistent response I never thought I’d hear: 'If it was me, I probably would do nothing.' This is not okay. Losing her to a disease with no viable treatment plan is unacceptable. That’s where PHASE ONE comes in. We’ve made notable progress through the funding of clinical trials. These trials are the crucial first steps in finding new treatments for this horrible disease. After the program, all of the restaurant stations opened, providing exclusive offerings from Angelini Osteria, Augie’s on Main, BADMAASH, Burt Bakman, Cookbook Market, Irv’s Burgers, Maple Block, New School, Organic Oren, Prince Street Pizza, Ramen Hood, Sua, Tacos1986, and Tekka Bar with desserts by Funke and Chef Sherry Yard. Guests mingled and made lasting memories at The Green Screen photo booth which stayed busy all night.
This year there were a record number of Mystery Gifts for sale, which all sold well before the event was over. Special thanks to all the amazing companies and individuals who donated products, jewelry, gift certificates, sporting event tickets, and more to this cherished part of PHASE ONE's annual event!
Guests ended the night on the dancefloor thanks to DJ Kid Fish, and went home with a delicious PHASE ONE-branded cookie from Joanie & Leigh's Cakes!

Over the past 25 years, PHASE ONE has been at the forefront of funding critical clinical research, with 52 grants awarded across 24 different types of cancer, resulting in the introduction of five life-saving drugs to the market.
The proceeds from this year's Gala will further fuel our commitment to pioneering research, paving the way for the development of groundbreaking treatments and improved outcomes for patients worldwide.
