ASHLEY BUSUTTIL
ASHLEY BUSUTTIL, MD, FHM is a clinical professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (DGSOM) and the Chief Medical Officer for Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RRMC). Dr. Busuttil earned her medical degree at the DGSOM with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) distinction. She then completed Internal Medicine residency and chief residency at UCLA Health where she currently practices in as a teaching hospitalist.
With interests in both Academic Hospital Medicine and Hospital Administration, Dr. Busuttil completed the Society of Hospital Medicine Academic Hospitalist Academy and received fellowship training in healthcare administration through the California Healthcare Foundation Fellowship in Healthcare Leadership. Dr. Busuttil served as the President of the Los Angeles chapter of the Society of Hospital Medicine and is designated a “Fellow in Hospital Medicine” (FHM)—a distinction awarded to Hospital Medicine practitioners who have demonstrated significant contributions to their field.
In her current role as RRMC Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Busuttil is the physician leader responsible for all protocols and policies related to patient safety and ensuring the delivery of high-quality equitable care within RRMC and its licensed clinics. She is committed to building the tools, systems and culture such that UCLA Health faculty and trainees may thrive in their mission of delivering exceptional, highly reliable and humanistic patient care.
